Greetings, apprentice! You've been tasked with proving your genetics knowledge by breeding every solid cat color in order. To succeed, you must master loci hierarchy! At the top of the screen you'll see your goal, research funds, and a few options.
Feed Treats: Adopted cats don't trust you right away. Give them treats so they trust you enough to let you pick them up.
Genetic Lab: Drag a cat into the lab (₻100) to reveal its genotype.
Nursery: Drag a Sire (M) and Dam (F) into the Nursery to breed new kittens!
Adoption: Adopt out select cats for extra research funding.
Genetics Guide
Dominant vs Recessive:
• Dominant alleles (Capital) override recessive alleles.
• Recessive alleles (lowercase) require 2 copies to express.
Coat Color Hierarchy (In Order):
1. White (W_): Overrides all colors.
2. Red / Orange (O_): Sex-linked.
3. Black Locus (B): B (Black) > b (Chocolate) > bl (Cinnamon)
4. Dilute Locus (dd): Lightens base coats:
• Black → Blue | Chocolate → Lilac
• Cinnamon → Fawn | Orange → Cream
5. Amber (ee): Converts coat to Amber.
6. Caramelized (Dm_): Turns dilutes into Caramel & Apricot.
